We come in all shapes sizes and colours -
blues greens browns and yellows
with hips so big and characters so round
Dynamic, loving, kind, LOUD women
yet soft, considerate, compassionate women we are
Strength of a woman
a strength that fits into restless places
to produce HOPE in the midst of mighty circumstances
strength of a woman
Pulling strings to make the wheels of life spin
Pulling faces in front of the mirror
throwing tantrums
and wiping children's tears off their faces
We don't fit into petty places
we don't like to be held back
we page homeage to our hips
strength of a woman
a strength that protects families with one's life
a strength that goes round like the African umbrella-tree
for all to share its comfort from the heat
